Paediatric Nurse

About the role
As a Registered Paediatric Nurse, you will be providing in-home support to a young client with MECP2 Duplication Syndrome. You will provide high-quality individualised Paediatric Nursing to our valued client. Work independently to ensure our Client’s needs are met, this includes but is not limited to: clinical assessments and intervention to manage symptoms, administering medications and treatment and management of pain, assistance with basic, complex and critical care needs.
Capacity to do a minimum of 2 bookings a week.
Should you be suitably qualified, you may also be asked to assist with other non-Paediatric Clients such as Aged Care, Palliative Care, Hospital in the Home, End of Life Care etc
Skills & experience
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in specialist/critical care in a hospital or community setting
- Minimum of one-year experience in Paediatric Nursing, PICU or NICU
- Demonstrated professional knowledge, judgement, and skill in providing professional support to Palliative Care patients and patients with complex needs
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, ability to think critically and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and work collaboratively with families, medical professionals and other allied health professionals to effectively coordinate patient care
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate and empathetic approach to your work
- Computer literate and able to use MS Office, email, and rostering systems
- CPR (HLTAID001) and Manual Handling Certificate
- WWCC, APHRA Cert, National Police Check, COVID-19 Infection Control Training
